Fun Thing

I have discovered that when the little ones tell me they are hungry

and I make two plates of fruit and cereal

and hand them each a toothpick

they will look at each other with curiosity

and eat

and eat

until the plates both look like this:

For dessert too.

Various Things

This past Wednesday, she had her 2 year checkup. She weighs 27 pounds and is 34 inches tall. She seems like such a little peanut to me. The nurse had to prick her finger and get some blood to test for lead exposure. Several times a day, she looks at that finger and says, "Her poke mine pinger." Here's a funny picture I took a couple weeks ago of her running and crashing into the couch.

Here's a picture from when he was sick. For 3 whole days this is how he looked.

He also lost another tooth. A top front one this time, and the one next to it is about to come out too. That makes 5 lost teeth so far. I am still surprised every time it happens. Those teeth came in soooooo slowly and painfully, and they just pop out like it's nothing.

If you have rain where you are, I hope you enjoy a cozy indoor day. If you have sun, I hope you get the chance to soak it up while drinking a glass of iced tea.

When she turned 2, we bought her a slide. Here she is trying it out in her pajamas, while wearing her new fairy wings. She loves it. She says, "I want it yide!"

Yesterday we celebrated her birthday with a gathering at our house. Here are a ton of photos.

Look whooooo's 2!

Laughing with Grampy

My father-in-law brought his jumpy thing, and all the kids enjoyed it. Except the birthday girl--she wouldn't set foot inside.

My sweet girl, opening a gift

Blowing out the candles, holding a wild haired baby that was mine when I was a young'in.

My one year old niece really loved the icing!

She stuck her fork in and said, "That a funny fork!" But she pronounced it like "punny pork" and I just love her.

Yes, It's Good

It's 11:30 in the morning. Here are some things I have not done:

-Cleaning of any sort
-Paid the bills
-Anything boring

Here are some things I have done:

-Walked around the block with the kiddos
-Participated in a light saber battle
-Freeze tag
-Shaved my legs and put lotion on
-Painted my toenails pink
-Painted Goose's toenails pink--her very first time!
-Sat outside in the sun
-Made some art with sidewalk chalk

It's a good day, is what I'm saying. The temperature is supposed to get up to 80 degrees! We are in shorts and sundresses and ponytails. After lunch and naptime, I hope to make a trip to a playground or the fountains or something like that.

Here is a picture of my dad with the kids, last time he visited.

I hope you have a lovely weekend, and Easter if you celebrate that. We will be going to my niece's first birthday party, hunting eggs, and visiting family. Now I'm off for more sun!
