Kindergarten Completion

Wow. This school year went really fast. Everyone says that, I know they do, but it really did go fast!

It's just so crazy how it happens.

They start out so little and new and curly-legged.

Then the next thing you know they're walking, all wobbly and excited.

Then before you know it, they're sure and steady on those feet.

They use those feet to carry them to friendships, adventures, and sooner-than-you-can-blink, to kindergarten.

By the time the year is over, he is more open, more brave, more courageous, taller. Also a little sad that it's finished.

This year was wonderful. I love his school. He went there for 3 years, and now he is finished because they only have classes up through kindergarten. Believe me, if they offered first grade, he'd go there next year in a heartbeat. In this school, he had teachers who loved him, who took the time to get to know him and to play with him. He was allowed to explore, create, get dirty. He did things even though he was unsure. He made strong friendships. He says he has found the girl he wants to marry. Who knows, it could happen. I did marry my high school sweetheart after all.

I'm so, so proud of him. I love him so, so much.

He will find teachers who love him always. Look at that face- he reminds me of some boy from Dickens, so pure and so sweet.
Lovely post. Lovely boy.

Wow, what a year for both of you. Here's hoping next year has just as many wonderful experiences for him to grow taller, stronger, braver, more confident. Happy Summer!
