Goose got up at 5:30 this morning. That's much better than yesterday, when she got up at 3:00. Funny enough, I don't seem to have the energy for anything but sitting here. Also, I still can't seem to make myself go to bed earlier at night, because I am ridiculous.
There is snow pretty much everywhere in the U.S., right? We have some here, about 4 inches. Maybe 5. Yesterday we went sledding, and it was a lot of fun, and now I feel like I'm off the hook for playing in the snow. Bee asked if I'd play in the snow with him this morning, and I didn't feel the least bit guilty when I said no. I reminded him that he's going to a friend's house this afternoon and that she will surely play in the snow with him. Plus, he has a sister who loves the snow too.
Nobody went outside though. So far we've only finished our school time, sat by the fireplace, ate a lot of clemetines and pasta, and now we're relaxing with our separate activities. The fire pulls us in somehow. It's so instinctual to gather around it, to stare at it while thoughts wander.
We'll visit friends this afternoon, then I'll make something for dinner, then I will plan to go to bed early but will actually stay up very late.
Winter hibernation, aaaaah.
